Our Culture Liverpool team was flooded with requests from people who were desperate to have a memento of their time in Liverpool and wanted to get their hands on the incredible branding we had produced as a host city. The design is a partnership between two agencies: Superunion in the U.K. and Starlight Creative in Ukraine.
The show starts at 8pm BST, and will be hosted by Graham Norton, Julia Sanina, Alesha Dixon and Eurovision goddess Hannah Waddingham. It will feature 26 acts vying for the title. Sweden’s Loreen is hotly tipped to win, but Finland’s Käärijä, Israel’s Noa Kirel, and Noway’s Alessandra might have other plans. Today the BBC has confirmed the line-up of incredible musical talent – including Kalush Orchestra, Sam Ryder, and established Eurovision icons – joining the 26 acts competing in the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final on May 13. Eurovision has well and truly arrived in Liverpool, with thousands heading to the city for the week-long celebration of the competition. The semi-finals were determined purely by public vote, but the Grand Final retains a jury plus public vote system. When the last song has played – Mae Muller’s I Wrote a Song – voting will open. After that there will be some music performances, and then we are into the nail-biting result process.
The Grand Final for this year’s Contest, hosted in Liverpool on behalf of 2022 winners Ukraine, will open with last year’s winners Kalush Orchestra and a powerful performance titled ‘Voices of a New Generation’. Do not add flags in the heart other than the official national flags of the participating countries. Whether you are watching in the company of real live guests or just virtual ones they are sure to be impressed with your party spirit.
