The default Dolby Atmos track is nearly demo-worthy, immersing the viewer in the many action sequences by surrounding them with sound. But to paraphrase The Critical Drinker a bit, Black Adam turned out to be a completely “meh” movie, and that’s completely OKAY if you think about it.

Johnson, a former college football star, turned professional wrestler, turned actor – has been in the limelight for over two decades. The film itself packs an ample punch with bright, bold colors, HDR offers a bit more contrast than the Blu-ray counterpart and I was hard-pressed to find something, anything wrong with this image.movie back in 2014, DC and Warner changed their plans and instead decided to give Black Adam his own origin movie instead. The action is fun, and the pacing pretty good for a 2+ hour movie, but it’s aldis Hodge and Pierce Brosnan that are the real draw of the movie.

We get some great superhero vs anti-hero action with this lineup and it's thrilling to see them on the big screen. Arriving too late to save the DCEU, Dwayne Johnson’s long-in-development passion project Black Adam smashes onto 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. Updated daily and in real-time, we track all high-def disc news and release dates, and review the latest disc titles. It’s strong and robust, with a really nice low end when Adam starts pounding baddies, and has amazing overhead usage as people fly and zip over us. well enough but went overboard with detours, Pitbull, and epic battles before mercifully rolling the credits.WB delivers a strong two-disc 4K release with a strong Dolby Vision transfer, an excellent Atmos audio track, and some worthwhile bonus features. Intergang has used Eternium to power their weapons and vehicles, allowing their soldiers to reign supreme in the land. Most of my comments regarding the 4K disc's 2160p, HDR10-enhanced transfer in my review of that title apply here in more limited quantities.

I found this an active and engrossing mix that left my head a bit sore from me turning around too much. This site is a destination for AV enthusiasts to share experiences, opinions, and ideas with others, eschewing egotistical debate, with an end goal of helping each other design and tweak systems to reach this “nirvanic” state. In theory, a report on when a movie will be streaming or on Blu-Ray isn't that exciting, however, this studio has fumbled this transition period since the COVID-19 pandemic halted the industry in 2020. It is unclear the exact date in the US, but one can assume it'll be around the same date, if not the exact same.

It’s been a bumpy road getting here, to say the least, and now with recent behind-the-scenes happenings, this would-be franchise may be stopped dead in its magical tracks. There are enough entertaining pieces and the solid cast holds the show together through those pitfalls. The Dolby Atmos is almost as equally impressive, serving up a fairly massive atmosphere that, as always, unfolds to a robust Dolby TrueHD 7. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson put in a lot of his time, effort and ZOA-powered workouts into this character.
