About this deal

Foam board – A sandwich of foam laminated by two sheets of board makes a rigid sheet suitable for model making and mounting projects. Bleedproof paper is available in a wide range of paper sizes, usually in the form of pads rather than reams, because of its vast range of applications. I recommend Copic Sketch Markers or Copic Wide Sketch Markers over other brands of markers, but the Prismacolor Premier double-tipped markers also work well.

It is not recommended to use typical printing paper for alcohol markers. As these markers contain alcohol-based inks, they may damage standard printing papers. Final Thoughts Cotton rag papers are made with recycled cotton textiles. Cotton textiles are made using the longest fibres from the cotton plant, so cotton rags make even stronger paper than cotton linters alone. Cotton rags are mechanically beaten in such a way as to maintain this long fibre length. Cotton and Linen Rag Blend It starts at 220gsm, which is the thinnest paper you’ll come across in this grade. “Bleedproof” and “resistant to bleedthrough” are two completely different terms that mean very different things. You need to be able to give examples and make good choices about how to shape for and join your materials. This could be tested in the exam and should be talked about using technical terms in your coursework.

When it comes to the blending, which I imagine is why you are using Copic markers as opposed to normal markers, then you are going to want the silkiness of the paper for the smooth blend. You want it to look like natural colours blending and not lumpy blotches of varying degrees crossing your colours. Imagine what light does to colour from an angle over a period of time or simply as a shadow is this not the desired effect? The fact of whether the paper you use is too porous or not porous enough is probably self-explanatory. If it is too porous then it is going to ghost through. Furthermore, smooth paper allows you to properly manipulate the markers so that you can create beautiful gradients of color with ease. If you want to draw on both sides of a piece of paper using alcohol-based markers, you need marker paper that is “resistant to bleed.” If you’ve transferred images between two papers before, or traced, this next paper is familiar to you. Tracing paper is a very thin, lightweight, semi-transparent paper. It’s hard to imagine that paint pens will fare well on this one. Digital copy looks best on bright white paper. But if you want to use the yellow paper you might have to make some adjustments to the source file. Best Uses of Alcohol Marker Paper (Pro Tips)

In terms of functionality, Marker papers should be used for alcohol markers, whereas layout papers should be used for brainstorming and designing the final product’s layout and design. You should always test your markers elsewhere before drawing your first trace on the paper. Your tips will stay moist, and the colors will not fade.
