About this deal

It also brings together the entire DAP range from FiiO into one very recognizable product line that for me is perhaps the closest looking device in terms of form factor to the old Apple iPod Classic.

Whilst it still has some core features like the scroll wheel system the X3iii is being pitched by FiiO as a lighter, thinner and much better handling DAP than the previous generations. Like the previous generation X3 the new X3iii does not have any onboard memory. Instead, you have a single micro SD slot to the left side panel for cards up to 256Gb official. It also offers bi-directional Bluetooth capabilities. Meaning, it can stream Bluetooth in an output format to something else, perhaps another player, or a speaker, or it can stream input into the player itself and listen to another source entirely through a Bluetooth connection.Usually, I have some type of gripe on where certain folders are left and stored. But, in this case, I really have nothing negative to say. Great job, Xduoo. The player looks and feels fantastic in setup. ADL X1: The X1 presents with a larger space than the X3 headphone out, and about on par with the FSM-02 V2, however the bass is less prominent. Overall the sound quality is similar to the X3 and the FSM. 7.5/10 Thank Thesycon company for working with us to work out the licensing plan for their latest and greatest!

update media lib” can be set to “auto” or “manual”– it will automatically update the library when changes are detected, as opposed to only when manual action is taken; Of course, it is a complete redesign compared to the original X3 but not so much of an evolution when compared to the X1 and X5 which now pretty much sets the bar or road map for the type of design FiiO is after.CNET wrote that high-resolution music 96kHz and 192kHz/24 FLAC sounded remarkable on the X3. The reviewer argued the sound on the X3 was "more complete and realistic" than that of the iPod. "Bass definition firmed up [...] after I spent a few hours with the X3 the iPod sounded rather bland and boring." [3] The X3II dishes out 210mW, roughly, and that just isn’t much at all for anyone using a Planar or anything above 120Ω. I find it unsuitable for portable USB DAC usage because of that fact. Disclosure: In the end, I went with the Kitchen Aid mixer. I want something to perform well, to last- and to look good in my kitchen. That’s probably a pretty good look my approach to reviewing audio devices. The level of pixelation from the new OS on the X3 Mark III screen is similar to the X1ii’s performance with slightly inferior anti-aliasing to the 2nd gen HiBy system and glass. I have seen this on a few Linux powers software systems before and is usually related more to the font choice which has stayed the same for both DAPs. Memory Single Slot
