Yus, My Dear is a British sitcom that ran for nineteen episodes over two series in 1976 featuring Arthur Mullard and Queenie Watts in the lead roles. It was written by Ronald Chesney and Ronald Wolfe, and produced and directed by Stuart Allen for London Weekend Television. It was screened by ITV during 1976, and marked an early regular TV appearance of the comedian Mike Reid. Wally has also suddenly grown an adult brother, Benny (Mike Reid), whose attributes include staying on the dole and a seemingly pathological urge to sponge off his big bruvver, to the point where he too – much to the chagrin of Lily – moves into the council house. Amidst a sea of washing lines and dustbins, the ever-present challenge for the Briggs’ to keep up with the Crichton-Joneses kept viewers laughing through 27 episodes of Romany Jones.
