About this deal

This one settles to something far less interesting, a lightly spiced soapy vibe of vetiver and geranium but with a bitter muskiness.

This fragrance leaves a feeling of elegance well suited for night work day but also for special events under one roof. On me this alternates between fresh and spicy and a warm, earthy slightly floral accord that I find captivating. The patchouli is in there, but very much masked by the citrus notes that stop it from becoming heavy or cloying.

Had Hugo Boss carried on from their trifecta of Number One, Hugo For men and Bottled, they might have been far more respected today. I’ve owned this one since it was first released in 2006, and I still think it’s up there as a very good fragrance. Based on the commercial and its high-quality juice, I could not agree more to vote Hugo Boss Selection for office and formal use. I like it for office wear in the fall because I love the pink pepper note here and appreciate its subtle projection as not to draw any unnecessary attention to myself, but for those looking to make an impression you would be better served by some of the more classic aromatic fougeres on the market. We regret that we cannot redispatch/refund sooner than the timescales listed above as these are the terms set out by the couriers. The ad campaign features popular German actor Thomas Kretchmann (King Kong, The Downfall, Next, Resident Evil-The Apocalypse, Immortel, The Pianist, U-Boat, “24” ). Scents this smell similar to are Mont Blanc Individual,Pi Neo,Armani Code and Givenchy Pi and Blue Label.

I get the pink pepper not much anise though, it's a bit toothless to be honest and is a little confused. Classic, serious, straightforward, and elegant, the BOSS Selection man is focused on his goals and being successful and balanced in his personal and professional life. However I could see how someone would like this, it's got that basic "clean, fresh" smell to it, although it's not aquatic or summery. But because of it’s versatility, you can wear this one more or less whenever you like, whatever the season. You can always check out more of my perfume reviews if you’re looking for a new scent or just want a catch up on the latest fragrance reviews here at Michael 84. As stated by others before me this is not anything new or earth-shaking, but it is a very good scent that is fresh without being aquatic, warm but not too spicy, slightly floral without the usual overdose of lavender and earthy yet not dirty, musky or overly woody. Please be aware that in some instances your parcel may be delayed due to adverse weather on the route from our warehouse, even if your local area itself is not affected.

Hugo Boss has emerged as probably one of the most famous brands in the manufacturing and selling of fashion products. Still worthy of a purchase if you are looking for a classy, subtle office scent that is versatile enough to be worn year-round, day or night. What makes Selection more different of those two is a initial sweet smell, a little candy-fruit-like, but a well elaborated one, I mean, could be a silly chord but it is not. It’s a kind of clean office smell, something you can walk into work wearing and people will know you smell good without over powering them.

If you like the pink pepper note here but want more force behind it, reach for Hugo Energise instead. I have since started to appreciate it, yet it could still be a hit and miss, so I'm always wary of any fragrance containing it as an ingredient. It would be prefect for younger guys, 18 – 25, but as mentioned it works just as well in formal situations where you’d expect guys to be older, 25 – 50.
