About this deal
It’s going to give your skin the luminosity you’ve always wanted and the dewiness will increase throughout the day. Again, I can live with this – I have embraced my shiny nose or if it really seems too awful, I’ll put some YSL magic on top. This sounds like a fair enough statement – as I rotate my foundations so often, I cannot really judge the more long-term impact (and I guess it would be diluted anyway). I often find that very comfortable foundations do not set well without powder (and I don’t like powder) – Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder being a particular offender. I’ve also realised the the foundation takes atlas 10-15 minutes to settle into the skin, so bare that in mind when powdering.
I stuffed my fingers in some of them, while in Japan and they all felt very thick and super drying on my skin.In fact the YSL (touche eclat) feels like a moisturiser that has a bonus effect to even out my skin. It doesn't make me look that oily throughout the day because I've been using a loose powder to set it, which works wonders. The sponge applicator makes it easy to build up coverage where needed, and I had no issue creating an even canvas for my makeup. As you can see, they're light but not THAT light - anyone who generally needs an ivory type foundation will not be able to find their colour in this product.
The foundation's buildable coverage allows you to create a sheer, luminous finish, or build to a medium coverage depending how many layers you wish to apply. This looks worth investigating, I haven’t tried anything like this in years and next time I am in Boots I will have a look. Zooming in near my jawline, there is a slight colour difference - a bit more yellow than my neck, and a bit darker.
The packaging for the foundation is very simple and fuss free, something that makes me fall in love even more with L'Oreal as a brand. But you need to keep in mind that my skin is no longer dry, so it might behave completely different on you. I feel the dewyness makes me look healthy and fresh like a goddess, but on days when I’m after a matte look, I won’t be reaching for this. Let me know if this was helpful, if you’ve tried this foundation and if you enjoy this kind of review format?
