About this deal

I also found most radio stations way to chatty or full of commercials and plain distracting when riding. Let’s start with the positives. The minimalistic, bulky design isn’t pretty, but it’s pretty functional. Navigating through the different functions of this headset is simple and fun. Also, the group intercom supports six riders who can all talk simultaneously. Finally, its range is pretty good for such a cheap headset. The speaker sound is decent enough, but the microphone sound is even better.

Early motorcycle intercoms were more or less an earphone lead connected to a mobile phone or sat-nav. Consequently, it was only possible to listen to or call via an inline microphone with limited communication. Furthermore, talking to the pillion required being physically wired to each other, making dismounting a syncronised affair (even funnier when you forgot…!) Another good thing about this Freedconn helmet is its crystal clear sound that ensures topnotch performance. Thanks to built-in premium speakers, you can enjoy full stereo sound. Also, it features Advanced DSP echo cancellation to suppress all the noise from the surroundings. Now that we know about all the handy communication features this Freedconn helmet offers, what about control and operation? You will be glad knowing that it has a single multi-functional button that allows you control and command all the operations. Also, it features an EPS cushion layer that absorbs all the unwanted noise as it is insulated. This keeps you from any kind of distraction. The major downside is that you cannot listen to music and be in a Bluetooth intercom group simultaneously. Keep in mind that you will get an audio warning when you are prompted to join the intercom group. Built-In FM RadioWhen the two headsets are off, press and hold the Multifunction button for 8 seconds until you hear the “Matching Status” voice prompt, as well as the blue and red lights flashing alternately. We tested the TCOM-SC in rainy conditions, and it worked regardless of riding in the rain for 5 hours. This Bluetooth headset features an IP66 waterproof (more like water resistance) rating to thank for that. With the IP65 waterproof rating, the FreedConn T-Max can easily withstand rainstorms with no risk of electrical failures. We are pleasantly surprised by this, as it seems that low-budget motorcycle Bluetooth headset brands aim to fix the failings of premium headsets, which often don’t have a waterproof design. Battery Life

One charge will be enough for one extended ride. Thankfully, you can charge this headset while riding, and the charge time is 2,5 hours. Also, when the battery is running low, you will get a “Battery Low” prompt and red flashing light every 15 seconds. Price FreedConn TCOM-SC Bluetooth headset provides you with the ability to simultaneously answer phone calls and listen to music via your phone or FM radio. It’s a nice feature to have, although it comes with a downside. Don’t want to break the bank? No problem- these motorbike helmet intercoms will allow you to communicate easily. FreedConn Motorcycle Bluetooth TCOMVB Communication System Still got questions about choosing the best motorbike bluetooth system for you? These might help: Can you talk on the phone while riding? No need to break the bank to enjoy top-of-the-range features for group bluetooth helmet intercoms. This system falls between the budget and top-shelf units when comparing price points.

Customer reviews

As for battery life, I’ve no complaints at all, we’ve still yet to experience them running flat whilst out. Even with rider-to-rider chat non-stop on a 4-5 hour ride out, listening to music or using a SatNav for an 8-hour ride to North Wales. Edit: 4 years later, I am finding battery life on our oldest intercom is not as long as it once was, and it will cut out after around 6 hours of solid rider-to-rider chatting. It does, however, give you regular audible beeps to indicate it’s running flat, which is handy so you can stop chatting to conserve the remaining battery life. We hope you found our review of the best motorcycle intercoms helpful. Here are some other posts you might enjoy: You can answer or reject the incoming calls and redial the last number as well as trigger Siri command. Also, it is easier to increase or decrease the volume. You will not have to use your smartphone for any kind of operation. Be it music streaming, listening to radio or GPS navigation audio, you have it all in your hand. Great Battery Life Personally, this is the motorcycle intercom system we use and have done for many years. Yes, there are newer versions now available but this is still doing the job- for now! Is Mesh better than Bluetooth?
